And when you want to live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know?
Still, "I started something I couldn’t finish" but it is good to carry on while you can, I was picturing the soundtrack of my life and recent comments have remind me of the importance of The Smiths in that soundtrack, so the song this time will be:
The boy with the thorn in his side (The Smiths)
I was introduced to The Smiths through "The singles" album, and I absolutely loved them. Every time I get a record, the first song I play is track number 9 because usually they are my favourites in the albums. So guess which is track number 9 in "The Singles"? yep, "The boy with the thorn in his side".
Three years after I heard that song for the first time, I knew it was time to go to a Morrissey concert, so one afternoon when I was supposed to be writing my dissertation I started to surf the net (advice: never pretend to write an important document if the computer has an Internet connection) and suddenly bought the train tickets to Manchester, the concert tickets and after three days I was getting of at Piccadilly Station. I had a great time, a pity even in July Manchester doesn’t get enough sun but well music saved the days!
"Behind the hatred there lies, a murderous desire for love"
